Always wanted to visit thrift stores to find some vintage clothing pieces, but never got the chance to visit one. Until finally, I decided to visit two thrift stores in Singapore, which were New2U and Lucky Plaza Bazaar.
New2U
New2U Thrift Store is a facility store selling new and pre-loved donated clothes, furniture, household items, etc. The shop is managed by volunteers and all of the sales are given to SCWO - The Singapore Council of Women’s Organizations (a national co-ordinating body of women's organizations) and StarShelter (a refuge for women and children who are victims of family violence).
New2U have a weekly promotion which is Students' Half-Price Day every Tuesday! You just have to show your student ID and get 50% discount on all clothing items (above SGD$1). So, if you're a student like me, NEW2U is such a heavenly place to go ☺
Here's what I got from New2U:
1. Tiger Denim Jacket SGD$4
Literally in shock when I found out that this jacket was only SGD$4 as usually denim jacket is sold at a high price (SGD$40 and above). The tiger embroidery at the back side added an exclusive touch to the jacket.

Lucky Plaza Bazaar
Lucky Plaza Bazaar is a store selling new and pre-loved clothes. The store is quite big as thrift stores are typically small. They sell a lot of decent clothing in different styles and sizes (XXS to XXL+) with a very worthy price. Most of their clothes' price range from SGD$3 to SGD$10 per piece.
Lucky Plaza Bazaar has a daily promotion where usually they offer "Buy 3 for SGD$10" on selected items.
Here's what I got from Lucky Plaza Bazaar:
1. Black Straight Pants (Buy 3 = SGD$10)
One of my best thrift finds ever! I was searching for a black straight pants when I came across this black beauty. The material is thick and yet very breathable to wear. Currently one of my go-to pants.
2. High-Waisted Denim Shorts (Buy 3 = SGD$10)
I am considered tall as an Asian girl (5'8); that is why it is always a struggle for me to find shorts with the perfect length. Usually, all shorts are too short for me, but not this one. Laid my eyes on this high-waisted denim shorts and I just fell in love with it ever since!
3. Black Wrap Top (Buy 3 = SGD$10)
Saw this FOREVER21 top for only for about SGD$3. I love the thick straps and the cross-wrap pattern of the top. Literally hugs me in all the right places!
4. Burgundy Kimono Outer (Buy 3 = SGD$10)
I'm a sucker for outerwear and this burgundy outer added a new colour to my outerwear collection. The material is very lightweight and flowy, perfect for casual walks in Singapore's warm weather.
5. Wash Maroon Denim Jacket SGD$8
Immediately fell in love with this jacket the moment I saw the fur trimmings around the collar. The fur trimming doesn't really show much different when I'm wearing it but I just love details. Style the jacket by making a knot and it made my whole outfit looking bomb!
6. Plaids Denim Jacket SGD$8
Plaids just never go out of style! Love the washed-black colour of the jacket; making it look so vintage. This jacket literally fits with a lot of outfits. One of my favorite thrift finds I would say!

Overall, I really love all the clothes I got from my thrift experience. Each of the clothes was very worthy and added more style variety to my wardrobe. I had a really fun time digging for gems in these thrift stores. It was a great experience and I would definitely thrift again next time ☺ #thriftedfashion #thriftstorefinds
