Discovering The World Of Patek Philippe

Friday, 11th October 2019.

Got the chance to visit Patek Philippe's Watch Art Grand Exhibition located in Sands Theatre, Marina Bay Sands. The exhibition opens from 28th September - 13th October 2019 and the admission fee is free.

Patek Philippe is the last independent and family-owned watchmaking company from Geneva, which is why their watch are highly priced. Patek Philippe's Watch Art Grand Exhibition was held to show people an insight into the world of watchmaking in the company. The event has been held in iconic cities such as Dubai, London, Munich and New York, and now they came to Singapore to reach people in Southeast Asia who were considered as one of the biggest watch buyer in the world.

In the Watch Art Grand Exhibition, Patek Philippe shows all the watches that they've made since 1839. The exhibition consisted of 10 different themed rooms to showcase many aspects of the Patek Philippe universe.

Personally, I don't really like wearing watch so I wasn't really interested on the exhibition but surprisingly, the exhibition was actually very informative and looking so aesthetically pleasing! The way they set up the museum, the props they used and how they create small workshops for people to see the watchmaking process were so interesting and eye-catching! Patek Philippe's watch museum was also so vintage and the watches were beautifully displayed.

From a non-watch lover, this exhibition is definitely a success as I got very interested to look around and see the exhibition till the very end.
